We are proud to share a recent feature by a Tanzanian local media channel spotlighting Mount Meru Petroleum Ltd (MMPL) for its exceptional role during a recent national fuel supply disruption in the Tanga region.
When a five-day shortage left many fuel stations closed, MMPL’s Handeni station stood out as a beacon of reliability and service. Immediately following the swearing-in ceremony, our Handeni team resumed operations — supplying fuel to all retail customers without overcharging and ensuring uninterrupted access to energy while competitors across the region remained dry.
